LEGACY MODERN’s new space: living greenery, and lots of green decorative tones in our open, airy space infused with a laid back 70’s vibe.

If you haven’t been to LEGACY MODERN since we moved down the street, you are in for a treat.

Now housed in a much bigger, open space, with many light-filled, curated rooms, each room invites a different look and vibe.

We have several colorfu,l vintage, shag rugs in bold colors throughout the store.

We are chock full of Dining tables and chairs brought back from a recent trip abroad.

We have two upstairs galleries with additional dining options

A somewhat rare, mid-century mahogany dining set atop a dynamic 70’s rug.

All that gorgeous space and light, right?

Another brand new sectional by Troehl’s, available off the floor.

We have some new Troehl’s Danish mid-century-inspired upholstery (all cash and carry!) that mixes seamlessly with vintage painting, table and accessories.

BIOPHILIC DESIGN

You will see that LM is in keeping with the emerging Biophilic Design trend; one of the key trends of these times, emerging out of this health-focused era.

Natural green is getting more and more popular in everyday homes.

Foremost on owner Mike Albino’s mind when he chose this space, was lots of open doors for fresh air, filled with plenty of living plants and countless “green” goods - sustainability and color wise.

GREEN REMAINS STRONG

Green tones are the “it” color in design for 2022. And not going away in 2023. This trend stems from both biophilia and holistic wellness.

VINTAGE UPHOLSTERY

New from Denmark this time we have a lot more vintage upholstery pieces in fabric and leather.Overall, our Summer look combines living greenery and decorative tones for open, airy spaces infused with laid-back, ‘70s Cali vibes.

SCULPTURAL LIGHTING

Sculptural lighting — everything from ceramic pendants to abstract sconces— add character and eccentricity to a space, like these amazing ceramic sconces below.

STONE AND CLAY MATERIALS

In 2021, organic modern decor was all the rage, and this year’s accessories are putting a fresh focus on warm, earthy neutrals with organic stone and clay elements. Other natural materials like hand-blown glass, and rustic, unfinished wood are also popular.

We have lots and lots of fired clay pieces throughout the store, as well as one of a kind artisan coffee tables.

The natural textures act as neutrals and anchor spaces dominated by unusual silhouettes and saturated colors.

As we settle into Summer here in Portland, we hope you’ll come by and check out our new space, and enjoy our thoughtfully curated home decor and designer goods.
