GETTING YOUR HOUSE READY FOR FALL
There are a few things you can do to get your home ready for Fall.
The early Fall days are feeling a little crisper, the leaves are starting to turn. As we start to focus on moving back indoors, there are a few things you can do to get your home in order and ready for Fall
FALL CLEANING
Just like Spring, it is always good to give home a deeper cleaning than the norm. Wipe the walls, baseboards, clean the windows and get some fresh air flowing through the house. Get out the feather duster and get the tips of mirrors, frames, cabinets, and light fixtures. Shake out all the rugs while the weather is still decent and clean any upholstery covers and pillow covers that you can.
Rebecca, owner of Utility Wast Zero in Portland, and an employee here at Legacy Modern, has a lovely selection of eco friendly cleaning products. 2. PREPARE THE GUESTROOMS
With holidays around the corner, you just might have a few visitors in town soon (fingers crossed of course). Its a great time to prep for company, before things get crazy. All the bedding can get washed or replaced ad update the space to help your guests feel at home.

3. COZY UP
Bring out a few blankets, some velvet or wool pillows, few pottery vases with Fall bouquets, and seasonal scented candles like pine or juniper.
We have lots of wonderful mid century vases in stock, as well as lots of pillows and seasonal throws.
4. SPRUCE YOUR DINING AREA
We are well stocked for Fall with several mid century dining tables in a range of sizes. We also have one of the city’s largest selection of vintage dining chairs, reupholstered in Italian leather, designer wools and contemporary textiles.
We also have lovely vintage sets of dishes as well as COSTA NOVA dining sets and linens available to order now. If you need them for the holidays, you should order ASAP.
5. SWAP OUT THE SEASONAL DECOR
